Aspres Launch today....and another sneeze fest

...and Twitter very tempermental lately. Don't know if there will be
any tweets in launch.

Saw the scores this morning and it seems OB got a zero yesterday for
going into the no fly zone and not landing. The rule is, if you
accidentally go in, you must land there and you get scored to that
point. If you go in and then continue flying, you get a zero. Problem
is, what if you don't know you've gone in (which would always be the
case for a pilot who continues flying). Then of course you don't know
to land and you get zeroed. Really sucks for OB.

It looks like his apeal is ok now so he will get a score at least! Doing sooo well too! Lets hope he can claw some back.

The story, as I understand it, is that, after his instruments indicated he'd stumbled into forbidden airspace, he spiraled down to land in accordance with the rules but, as skydiving operations were in progress in the area and so much lift made it hard to get down, he decided it would be safer all around to fly a bit out of the zone, and then land. The evidence of his intent to follow the rules (spiraling down) was obvious in his track log, so he was awarded the score he would have got had he landed immediately.
