I had a fantastic flight today in the most lovely conditions. Like yesterday, we were taking off from the lower north-facing launch. Unlike yesterday however, I didn't have to share the thermals with 110 other pilots. Jack, Scott, the Jeffs and I and a handful of others enjoyed the super smooth thermals and I only came out to the valley when it got too cold up high. Of course, everything was lifting off and coming down took forever. What a nice end to a hugely fun competition.
Next stop, St. Andres for the French Nationals! St. Andre is just a short trip from Laragne, but I'm told the scenery is even better, if that's possible. I'll have my glider and hopefully get a few flights in before heading down to Monte Cucco.
